Spurs at Pelicans GAMEDAY Preview: How to Watch, Injury Report, Betting Odds

The San Antonio Spurs face the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night in a first game of a back-to-back schedule.

With not much to play for in the late stage of the NBA regular season calendar, the San Antonio Spurs continue to will their way through a tough 2022-23 campaign, battered and bruised but with their head held high.

Tuesday night sets off the first game of a back-to-back schedule with the Spurs on the road at the New Orleans Pelicans

Once perceived as a playoff contender, the Pelicans now are more of an NBA draft lottery candidate. Similar to the Spurs, they, too, deal with injuries to their nucleus. However, unlike San Antonio’s young core, New Orleans had higher hopes heading into the season.

At one point in the season, the Pelicans had one of the best records in the Western Conference. Currently, New Orleans trails the Los Angeles Lakers in the standings, a stunning turn of events considering where the woeful Lakers started the season.

New Orleans started the season 23-13 and has since flipped the early production with a 12-23 record. Enduring injuries to Brandon Ingram and still no return date for franchise cornerstone Zion Williamson, the Pelicans desperately need to turn around their disappointing campaign.

Conversely, the Spurs have nothing to play for and look to ride the high note of their miraculous comeback at the Atlanta Hawks dispense.
