Spurs at Bucks GAMEDAY Preview: How to Watch, Injury Report, Betting Odds

The San Antonio Spurs play the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum on Wednesday night. Against a championship-hope team, how will the Spurs fare?

Wednesday's San Antonio Spurs vs. Milwaukee Bucks matchup is as opposite as it gets.

The Spurs have no chance of winning a championship this year, let alone sniff the play-in tournament, and for the Bucks, going home without the Larry O'Brien trophy is a failure. Stature aside, San Antonio's recent success over playoff teams allows the mind to suspend disbelief for a few hours as the fighting spirit of the young Spurs plays in Milwaukee.

However, regardless of the young-and-hungry Spurs nucleus yearning for another upset victory, the 2021 NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo sees red as his play down the stretch of the season invokes discourse of a third league MVP. Averaging 26 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in his last 10 games, Antetokounmpo primes himself for another long playoff run.

The Spurs best not choke up the ball, as Antetokounmpo trails only LeBron James in fast break scoring with 5.4 points per game. Regarding San Antonio's turnover woes, they rank 28th in such a category with 15.5 per contest.

While the Spurs have plenty of fearless pieces on the roster, they lack a formidable paint defender. It's a long night for the Spurs if the Bucks constantly find themselves in the restricted area. With no significant injuries for Milwaukee, San Antonio's chances at victory fall in the Cinderella story category.
