Dallas Mavericks vs. San Antonio Spurs GAMEDAY Preview: Victor Wembanyama Debut - How to Watch, Betting Odds, Injury Report

In this story:
At long last, the San Antonio Spurs offseason is over and Victor Wembanyama is officially set to make his debut tonight when the Dallas Mavericks come to the Frost Bank Center.
The anticipation is a long time coming for the Spurs, who drafted Wembanyama with the No. 1 overall pick just four months ago. In some ways, it feels like Wemby fever has been here for a long time, but in reality, he's yet to play an official game for the Spurs. That changes tonight.
The Spurs have a big test in their first game against their Lone Star State rival Mavericks, who look to begin their first full season with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in the backcourt. However, the Spurs may not see them together for the season opener as Doncic is questionable to play with a calf strain.
With or without Doncic, the Spurs are expected to draw a Mavs team hungry to prove themselves after missing the postseason entirely last April.
Here's a look at everything you need to know ahead of tonight's season opener ...
