In this story:

The San Antonio Spurs will have another chance to get the monkey off their back and snap an eight-game losing streak when the Los Angeles Clippers come to town for a two-game series.

The first of those games takes place tonight, and the series continues on Wednesday.

Tonight marks the second meeting between former Spurs star Kawhi Leonard and new franchise cornerstone Victor Wembanyama. Given the fact that the Clippers play a smaller lineup, there will likely be an opportunity for Leonard to defend Wembanyama, and vice versa.

The Spurs are hoping that they will be able to win their first game since Nov. 2. They have had opportunities during the losing streak to win, but a common theme has been blown leads. The Spurs have led by double digits in five of the team's last eight losses, but have been unable to pull out a win.

Perhaps a game against the Clippers, a team still trying to figure themselves out, will be an opportunity for the Spurs to tack on a win.
