Spurs Fiesta 5: NBA Draft Trade Talks Ramp Up

"The Spurs are one of the most active teams in trade talks heading into the draft," sources told SpursTalk. "According to the league sources, the Spurs are telling teams their preference is to trade for another first round pick. If that’s unsuccessful, San Antonio has let it be known that they want to trade away at least one of their second round picks."
"Popovich is expected to sign a three-year contract that will pay him in the neighborhood of $14 million per year," a league source said via SpursTalk. "The contract will also allow him to opt out after either of the first two seasons."
3. SPLITTER TO ROCKETS COACHING STAFF?
"One name that I heard through the wire was Tiago Splitter," Kelly Iko of The Athletic said. "He’s one of Ime Udoka’s guys, and they worked together in Brooklyn and were teammates in San Antonio. He likes him a lot."

Victor Wembanyama and Metropolitans 92 faces off against Monaco in Game 3 of the LNB Pro A Finals on Thursday. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CST.

The San Antonio Spurs are seven days away from the 2023 NBA Draft, where Victor Wembanyama will officially become the newest member of the franchise with the No. 1 overall pick.
