In this story:

1. THE NEXT TIM DUNCAN?

"It will be looking to find that success once more when Victor Wembanyama enters the scene, but it may be a few years before that success is fully realized. Until then, Spurs fans can look at Jokic — the league's next Tim Duncan — as a source of hope and even nostalgia at the legacy that their Hall-of-Fame center left behind."

2. ZION IN TRADE RUMORS

The San Antonio Spurs could see a major change within their division in the coming days.

According to Bill Simmons, New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson has been a strong name in trade rumors and could be dealt ahead of Thursday's NBA Draft.

“The Zion thing is a real, real, real, subplot," Simmons said on his podcast. "I had somebody tell me yesterday—that I trust—that he will not be on [the Pelicans] by Thursday.”

Williamson was selected with the No. 1 overall pick just four years ago, but the Pelicans have yet to be impressed with him given his potential coming into the NBA.

3. ZION TO KNICKS?

"If the Pelicans are looking to trade Williamson, the Knicks have a strong case to serve as an ideal second venue."

4. KYRIE TEXAS SHOCKER

"The Kyrie to the Rockets link makes sense because he’s a talented point guard, but when you think of the logistics that have to go behind that deal, I’d be shocked if that happened," Iko said on the HoopsHype podcast.

5. DRAFT COUNTDOWN

The San Antonio Spurs are two days away from the 2023 NBA Draft, where Victor Wembanyama will officially become the newest member of the franchise with the No. 1 overall pick.

Coverage begins on Thursday, June 22 at 7 p.m. CST on ESPN.
