Spurs Fiesta 5: Trade Coming to Help Victor Wembanyama?

In this story:
1. BIG TRADE FOR SPURS? "Why make a big trade, anyway? They like their young core around Wembanyama so just keep at it. It's a nice feeling knowing the foundation has once again been laid. Happy days are almost here again."
2. KEEP THE FRENCH LEGACY GOING “I know he wanted to go to San Antonio, and so it feels like it was destiny, with the French connection we built over the years,” Parker said via KENS5. “And he is going to keep [that] legacy going. It's pretty cool.”
3. NAZ REID INTEREST "The Spurs, league sources say, are another Texas team that would have had interest in Reid had he made it to free agency, with San Antonio known to be searching for a proven center who can ease the frontcourt burden that it places on prized rookie Victor Wembanyama in his first NBA season," NBA insider Marc Stein wrote. "It's believed, though, that the Spurs were likely to offer Reid only a one-year contract to fill that role."
4. FREE AGENCY APPROACH "Though there's no telling which way the Spurs will lean when it comes to roster building, they've already got a solid young core with Wembanyama, Jeremy Sochan, Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell and more. An experiences guard would help raise this young team's ceiling."
5. SUMMER LEAGUE COUNTDOWN The San Antonio Spurs are five days away from their first Summer League game at the California Classic in Sacramento.
Their first game against the Charlotte Hornets is on July 3 at 7 p.m. CT.
