Spurs Fiesta 5: Lakers' Austin Reaves Received San Antonio Interest

In this story:
1. RAVING ON REAVES "The Spurs considered offering Reaves a restricted free agency sheet worth $21 million per season, league sources told HoopsHype. Ultimately, however, the Spurs were scared off by the widespread belief that the Lakers would match any offer sheet for Reaves and chose to preserve cap space as a salary dump destination for future draft pick compensation," HoopsHype said.
2. BYE BYE BULLOCK? "Reggie Bullock has an $11 million expiring contract and can still help a lot of teams," HoopsHype said. "Bullock is a valuable 3-and-D guy that playoff-caliber teams could look at."
3. WEMBY VS. CHET "Recently, New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy appeared on the "Road Trippin'" podcast and was asked to pick between Oklahoma City Thunder big man Chet Holmgren or Wembanyama. The catch was, the selection would be for just one year."
4. WEMBY ALL-STAR? "Maybe it's an injury replacement, but it's going to come down to how many games he plays," Jonathan Givony said of Wembanyama's All-Star chances. "The impact that he's going to make defensively is going to be immediate."
5. LUKA LEADING SLOVENIA "It was a long summer for me, I'm happy to be back," Doncic said, via rtvslo.si. I'm looking forward to training and matches. I'm honored to be the captain, we decided that with the coach and players. It's a pleasure to play for the national team, I haven't played since April 10, I can't wait for the games."
