Spurs Fiesta 5: San Antonio Medical Staff Visits Victor Wembanyama in France

In this story:
"The Spurs dispatched their medical staff to France last week to conduct their due diligence," ESPN said. "With that successfully out of the way, everything looks on track for him to be the No. 1 pick and start restoring the proud franchise to relevance."
"Langford, 23, averaged a career-best 6.9 points per game in 43 appearances with the Spurs last season. However, he struggled in some areas."
3. WEMBY SWEPT IN FINALS
The next time Victor Wembanyama plays a professional basketball game, it will be for the San Antonio Spurs.
While that's good news for Spurs fans, it may not be as happy for French and Metropolitans 92 supporters, who saw Wembanyama's team get swept in the LNB Pro A Finals to Monaco.
Monaco pulled out a 92-85 win Thursday after trailing midway through the fourth quarter.
"Among the potential trade scenarios the Mavs have discussed include a possible deal with the Atlanta Hawks for John Collins and the the 15th pick in exchange for the 10th pick and Davis Bertans. Nothing is imminent regarding that possibility."
5. DRAFT COUNTDOWN
The San Antonio Spurs are six days away from the 2023 NBA Draft, where Victor Wembanyama will officially become the newest member of the franchise with the No. 1 overall pick.
Coverage begins on Thursday, June 22 at 7 p.m. CST on ESPN.
