How Deep Will Sarver Suspension Impact Suns?

How will the Robert Sarver Suspension impact the Phoenix Suns? ESPN's Ramona Shelburne broke it down:

The Phoenix Suns are in the market to acquire a new player, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst on the Monday edition of "NBA Today".

"Active, and very active in the last week," said Windhorst.

"They are conducting business, they are in trade negotiations right now. A lot of them are centered around Jae Crowder. Jae Crowder is a player who is available on the market right now, whether or not there is going to be a deal for him that materializes before now and next week's trade deadline, we'll have to wait and see."

When asked if she's heard the same, ESPN's Ramona Shelburne agreed and also brought forward an interesting dynamic Phoenix faces as the season begins:

"I've heard the same. I think what's interesting going forward is there's a question of how banned is Robert Sarver? They have other minority owners are going to be making calls, how quickly can they operate? How quickly can that authorization come? Is Sarver still being informed of what's going on? Is he still connected? He's not supposed to be," said Shelburne.

"Then it brings us back to the issue of how the players are going to handle this. We have media day coming up next week. Everybody's gonna get those questions. We've already seen Chris Paul put out a statement, which I thought was a big step for the leader of that team to do and also the former head of the player's association.

"What is the next step here? How do the players continue moving forward? This is a team that was in the Finals a couple years ago [with] championship aspirations again and it reminds me a bit of the Clippers team when Donald Sterling had his scandal. That happened right in the middle of the playoffs, and it was incredibly hard for them to deal with right in the middle of the playoffs. They chose Doc Rivers to speak for them.

"In this situation, Monty Williams has spoken a lot for the Suns. We're coming right back to it at the start of the season. In some ways it's good timing because they can address it straight on, but in other ways it's gonna be a season-long conversation."

Key decisions still await the Suns, and the man with the ultimate say (Sarver) is now absent.

Phoenix would likely prefer this news to arrive now as opposed to the postseason like Shelburne pointed out with Los Angeles.

With the Suns still having a month until the regular season begins and their team fairly gelled when it comes to chemistry, will the news impact them once actual basketball is played?

We'll see who is calling the shots moving forward, although it's difficult to imagine general manager James Jones not pulling the strings when it comes to important personnel decisions.
