Suns' Devin Booker Voted No. 3 Guard in NBA

Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker was voted the No. 3 guard in the league behind Luka Doncic and Steph Curry.

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has arrived.

It wasn't long ago where a young Booker inherited a laughable Suns squad and fans across the league were screaming for the shooting guard to be traded elsewhere.

Now, Booker has put both Phoenix and himself on the map, narrowly helping the Suns win the 2021 NBA Finals, breaking franchise records and establishing the Valley as a destination for superstars such as Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.

Heading into his prime, Booker hopes to lead a star-studded lineup to Phoenix's first championship. His performance in the postseason was nothing short of historical on many fronts, and that momentum will hopefully carry over into the 2023-24 season.

In terms of positional rankings, Bleacher Report placed him as the league's No. 3 guard behind Luka Doncic and Steph Curry:

"How much weight should the postseason have in comparison to the regular season? That's the Devin Booker ranking dilemma, and it's one that'll be even more apparent when we reveal our final Top 100," said B/R.

"In Dunks and Threes' Estimated Plus-Minus for the regular season, Booker ranked tied for 24th. But then the playoffs happened, and Booker put on a show.

"The Suns' star guard averaged 33.7 points per game on 58.5 percent shooting. That alone gives him an argument for top-five placement in our Top 100. But he also averaged 7.2 assists (and just 2.9 turnovers) and showed more defensive ability than ever before.

"For an 11-game playoff sample size, Booker was arguably the second-best player in the NBA. Voters decided that was enough to get him into the top three guards, but not enough to pass the two stars ahead of him on this list."

Booker finished ahead of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Damian Lillard to round out the top five.

Suns teammate Bradley Beal landed at No. 15 while former Phoenix floor general Chris Paul tied for 29th with Austin Reaves.
