Charles Barkley Calls Kevin Durant 'Sensitive'

Phoenix Suns legend Charles Barkley says Kevin Durant and the current generation of players can't take criticism.

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant is one of the league's all-time great scorers. His athleticism, length and range allows him to become a threat from any spot on the floor. Over the years, his experience, basketball IQ and even defensive capabilities have helped mold him into the Slim Reaper mantra we know today.

Durant is undoubtedly a great player, yet his presence on social media and consistent engagement has led to some criticizing Durant - one of which is former Suns legend Charles Barkley.

The following is from a recent 60 Minutes interview:

Jon Wertheim: Kevin Durant.

Charles Barkley: He's very sensitive. Great player. He's part of that generation who think he can't be criticized. He's never looked in the mirror and said, 'Man, was that a fair criticism?'

Jon Wertheim: We're in agreement today's players are a little more sensitive to criticism than your generation

Charles Barkley: That would be a understatement.

This hasn't been the first run-in between the two.

Earlier in the offseason, offered this when asked about Barkley's criticism:

“We both played ball, both played in the NBA, both superstar caliber players,” Durant said.

“I’m sure we can relate on a lot of things in life. We’ve accomplished and experienced the same things in this league. I wouldn’t say we’re not on the same page. We may disagree on some stuff, but you watch TNT, those guys disagree every day, but to the core of it, we’re all ball players and we’ve been through the journey as ball players and I’d say we’re on the same page already.

“I probably wouldn’t sit down with Charles to be honest."
