D-backs, Mikal Bridges Make Friendly Twitter Wager

Bridges, a Phillies fan, may just end up wearing a Diamondbacks jersey soon.

Phoenix Suns forward Mikal Bridges is an unapologetic Philly kid.

Born in Philadelphia, Bridges opted to play at Villanova before being drafted by the Suns in 2018.

He's been in the Valley for a few years now, but still loves his hometown teams. In the heart of baseball season, the All-NBA first team defensive player isn't shy about rooting on his Phillies.

The Phillies are currently one game under .500 and face the Arizona Diamondbacks this weekend.

Then, the D-backs' social team made an offer Bridges couldn't refuse: A friendly wager between the two sides.

Arizona is currently 28-31 prior to the weekend series in Philly.

For what it's worth, Bridges' pinned tweet reminds everybody he never wants to leave.

Bridges has quickly become a fan favorite in Phoenix, and despite his baseball loyalties, the Suns hope to banter with him on sports loyalties for years to come.
