Report: Nets Want Booker Back in Durant Trade

Per Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, the Nets will not let KD go unless Booker is dealt back to Brooklyn.

The initial thought of a lineup featuring Chris Paul-Devin Booker-Kevin Durant is enticing enough for the Phoenix Suns to pull the trigger on any deal the Brooklyn Nets ask for in exchange.

The Suns may find it difficult to move pieces such as Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges or even Deandre Ayton.

However, the Nets are asking for bargaining chip that may legitimately seal off talks with Phoenix.

Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer reports the Nets will only trade Durant to Phoenix if the Suns include Devin Booker as part of the package.

In a championship window that is closing with a 37-year-old Chris Paul, the Suns are intent on maximizing their chances to win. That involves getting a star such as Durant.

However, Phoenix would also be jeopardizing the team years down the line by trading Booker away.

It's a risk-reward that the Suns won't entertain, and perhaps the Booker statement was more so Brooklyn trying to play hard-ball in a situation where they're likely saying goodbye to the stars they envisioned winning titles with them.
