Devin Booker Says Suns Don't Have Super Team

For as good as the Phoenix Suns' new lineup is, there wasn't much representation for them over All-Star weekend.

Saben Lee was able to participate in the G League Next Up game, yet he was the only player to don a Suns jersey over the festivities.

Kevin Durant was Phoenix's lone All-Star nod, but he's yet to play a game for the Suns after being traded from the Brooklyn Nets thanks to a MCL sprain.

Devin Booker missed over 20 games and didn't make the cut thanks to his injury. The West is ran with too many prominent guards to include Chris Paul. Deandre Ayton is solid in the box score but hasn't yet captured those honors.

So are the Suns really a super team? Booker met with local reporters and gave his two cents:

“We only had one All-Star this year, that was KD,” Booker said.

“I just don’t do all the titles and stuff, man, that’s for you guys and everybody else. I know we have a really talented group, I think enough to get to where we’re trying to go, and finish what we’re trying to do. So, that’s my main focus, everything that’s said about us will come, regarding how we finish.”

Certainly favorites to make the NBA Finals out of the West, the Suns' new acquisition of Durant has changed the projection of a team that is the conference's No. 5 seed with just 22 games away.

Booker hopes the Suns have a super team when it counts in the summer.
