Kevin Durant, Suns Still Molding Together Ahead of NBA Playoffs

In this story:
Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant isn't in unfamiliar territory.
Durant joined the Suns just a few months ago after being acquired at the trade deadline. Phoenix sent over a lofty trade package to acquire one of the greatest players of his generation, and when on the court, he's yet to disappoint.
The No. 5 seeded Suns are 8-0 when Durant plays, and they hope that success trickles into the postseason, beginning with the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Durant is now on his fourth different team and has played fairly well everywhere he's landed, a testament to not only his abilities as a player but also as a teammate, molding and adjusting to his surroundings.
Durant's addition to a starting lineup that carries Chris Paul, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton makes them one of the top contenders in the West.
Yet Durant is still finding different ways to gel in the Valley, and Suns coach Monty Williams touched on that today at practice.
"Understand what we do and implement it without losing who he is as a player, I think it helps him," Williams said.
"I think those guys understand when they don't have to bring the ball up and dribble the whole game, they're fresher. So Chris [Paul] and Book [Devin Booker] have had the ball a lot more and Kevin's been in spot-up mode. I think that's helped. The easy answer is he's just a really good basketball player, one of the best ones I've ever been around, and he's smart. They figure out ways to fit in on both ends on the floor … If you look at Kevin's history, everywhere he goes he does that, it's nothing new to him."
