The Phoenix Suns are currently down 2-0 to the Denver Nuggets, and the hot topic around Phoenix has been the lack of scoring production.

That's an odd thing to say when you have guys such as Kevin Durant and Devin Booker on the floor at nearly all times - and to be fair, they've mostly held their end of the deal.

Yet it's been the supporting cast that has failed to really produce anything significant. The Suns were able to survive comfortable against a depleted Los Angeles Clippers squad - Denver is another story.

Thus, Phoenix quickly approaches must-win territory against a Denver team that will need just one more victory if the Suns can only win one of their two home games.

When it comes to potential changes, Suns coach Monty Williams says Terrence Ross and T.J. Warren could potentially feature for Phoenix.

"Those are two guys that could see significantly more time," Williams said after practice yesterday. "Those kinds of decisions only hurt you when you have an injury. Then you wish you could've got those guys a bit more reps to prepare for that. We have these days to get ready for that and the guys who play. We were in a good rhythm right before Chris got hurt."

The status of Chris Paul remains to be seen after he strained his groin in the second half of Game 2's loss. The team officially listed him as day-to-day but NBA insider Shams Charania reports Paul could potentially miss the next three games.

Game 2's 97-87 loss featured the lowest scoring output for the Suns dating back to Jan. 2.

Ross is a scoring shooting guard who was picked up after the Orlando Magic bought him out of his contract. Ross was expected to be a somewhat reliable scoring piece for the Suns but has played a total of nine minutes in the playoffs thus far.

The only player to play less than Ross this postseason in Phoenix has been T.J. Warren, a small forward acquired in the Kevin Durant deal that has shown capable of getting a bucket when asked.

He's played just six minutes this postseason, featuring in just two games last series vs. LA.

"I can do a better job of putting more scorers on the floor and living with whatever warts may come with that just to free those guys up so they don't have to do it every single time down the floor," Williams said.

"We'll make those adjustments accordingly."

The Suns' bench have been outscored 223-100 in the playoffs thus far.

Game 3 will be Friday, May 5.
