Suns Projected to be 'Nightmare' for Opposing Teams

In this story:
Star power drives success in the NBA, and the Phoenix Suns sure do have a lot of it heading into the 2023-24 season.
That wasn't quite the case at this time last year, as Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal had yet to join the squad. Some fans had wished the organization kept the likes of Chris Paul, Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson, though new owner Mat Ishbia clearly pushed all his chips to the middle of the table.
Now, the Suns tout one of the strongest trios in the league with a Beal-Booker-Durant lineup that should undoubtedly be a problem on more nights than not.
Bleacher Report recently said Phoenix's star power will be a "nightmare" for the rest of the league.
Suns Projected to be 'Nightmare' for Opposing Teams
In their article going through one reason for optimism for each squad, there's no evading what makes the Suns so special according to author Andy Bailey.
"There's no reason to get cute on this one. The Phoenix Suns have four players on max contracts for this upcoming season. They're easily the collective reason for optimism," wrote Bailey.
"Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal will probably be the highest-scoring trio in the league. And with all the attention they get, Deandre Ayton should feast on rim runs and putback opportunities.
"Depth could be an issue, especially with the recent lack of durability from KD and Beal, but the healthy Suns are going to be a nightmare."
Under the guidance of new head coach Frank Vogel, there's been a complete overhaul of this Suns squad heading into 2023-24, as only Booker and Ayton remain from the beloved 2021 team that went to the NBA Finals.
Time will tell if the collection of stars in the Valley will pay dividends, though there's lofty expectations for the team to find regular season success with their collection of talent.
