Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker just hasn't been himself.

After dominating in fashion which was awarded with the West's Player of the Month, Booker has seen quite the decline in play in the final month of 2022.

December started with a 41-point outing against Houston, but Booker's scoring has since dipped. After dropping 20 against San Antonio, Phoenix's star guard has pieced together outings of 11, 17 and 14 in what's been three consecutive losses for the Suns.

Booker didn't play in the final minutes of Friday night's loss to New Orleans.

"Just try to make the best decision for the team and for him," Suns coach Monty Williams said after the game. "I didn't like the way he was running. Sometimes I've got to protect him."

Booker added, "Yeah, there's something going on, we'll figure out it out."

As it turns out, that something is tightness in his hamstring as reported by The Arizona Republic's Duane Rankin.

"We're just going to see how he progresses," Williams said after Saturday's practice (h/t Rankin). "Just got to wait and see. I would say he's day-to-day, some soreness there. We didn't want to push it too far."

Booker told Rankin he would be good to go after he reportedly was walking with a limp after Saturday's practice.

If Booker can't go, Damion Lee may get the nod as a starter.

Phoenix has seen their starting lineup change throughout the season with guys such as Chris Paul and Cam Johnson missing extended time due to injury.

The Suns will again battle the Pelicans on Sunday.
