Suns' Kevin Durant Passes NBA Legend in All-Time Scoring

In this story:
We're just two games into the Kevin Durant era of the Phoenix Suns, and he's already made history.
Durant managed to pass NBA legend Oscar Robertson in all-time scoring on Friday night after his 20-point performance in Phoenix's win over the Chicago Bulls. Durant now moves to 13th all-time on the scoring list.
Durant crossed Robertson just a few minutes into the night:

As CBS Sports' Jack Maloney points out, Durant likely isn't done climbing the scoring ladder this season:
"With his performance on Friday, Durant reached 26,727 career points. Next up on the list is Hakeem Olajuwon at 12th with 26,964 points. Assuming that Durant plays in the majority of the Suns' remaining 18 games, and keeps up his 29.5 points scoring average for the season, he should easily move past Olajuwon this season. That's likely the highest he can go this campaign, though, unless he really goes off for a few games," said Maloney.
Ahead of Durant is his good buddy LeBron James, who just recently passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the No. 1 spot. The rest is as follows:
3. Karl Malone
4. Kobe Bryant
5. Michael Jordan
6. Dirk Nowitzki
7. Wilt Chamberlain
8. Shaquille O'Neal
9. Carmelo Anthony
10. Moses Malone
11. Elvin Hayes
12. Hakeem Olajuwon
Though Durant will continue to work his way into the top ten of all-time scoring, winning a championship is the only thing on his and his teammates mind for this season. Phoenix is currently 35-29 with 19 games left to go until the regular season.
The Suns are 2-0 in Durant's short tenure in the Valley, with the superstar putting up scoring performances of 23 and 20 points thus far.
Phoenix is back in action Sunday when they travel to play the Dallas Mavericks.
