Report: Nets to Shop Jae Crowder After Acquiring Him in Kevin Durant Trade

The Phoenix Suns have landed Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant in a trade many thought would never happen.

The Suns are giving up Jae Crowder, Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges, four future first-round picks and a 2028 pick swap for Durant and TJ Warren according to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Crowder - who has yet to play this season after mutually agreeing to his absence on the court - may not be landing at his final destination, however. Wojnarowski would later tweet out that the Nets would look to explore more trading options ahead of the league's 1:00 pm MST deadline.

Crowder arrived to the scene in 2021 and helped the Suns reach the NBA Finals that season before playing a role in their record-setting 64 regular season wins. Phoenix reportedly told Crowder that Johnson would be elevated to a starting role and the team was not interested in extending his contract.

Crowder, who is 32-years-old, is set to become a free agent this summer.

He now arrives to a Brooklyn team that once featured names such as Kyrie Irving, James Harden and Durant among others in recent years. Now, the Nets are hitting the reset button in a major way.
