As the NBA steps aside for the NCAA National Title on Monday going dark to shift the focus to their college counterpart, it puts many teams in a back-to-back bind on the final week to wrap up the regular season including the San Antonio Spurs (20-59) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (54-25).

The Spurs were in Memphis on Tuesday dropping the Grizzlies 102-87 and leaving Memphis to their Beale Street Blues. While top pick in the 2023 NBA Draft Victor Wembanyama dropped 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists and an eye-popping seven blocks, his status for Wednesday's game remains up in the air.

As of the time the Spurs hop on a bird to head to Oklahoma City, Gregg Popovich says the playing status of the league's latest unicorn is "uncertain" as the 7-foot-4 big man balances the taxing NBA schedule for the first time playing in 70 games to this point.

Though, despite the lack of rest, this is a game that Wembanyama will almost assuredly not want to miss. Not matter what he or Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Chet Holmgren say publically, their actions speak louder than words.

As the two have traded blows since the preseason in the budding of the NBA's next great rivalry, the two youngsters will almost assuredly want to face off for the final page in the first chapter of their rivalry.

The NBA required teams to file an injury report by 1 PM local time on the second night of back-to-back where we should get a more clear update on Wembanyama's status. However, the mystery might not be totally solved until Popovich takes the podium around 5:30 CT tonight in the Paycom.
