Former Thunder Forward Kevin Durant Traded to Phoenix Suns

In this story:
Former OKC Thunder forward Kevin Durant was traded to the Phoenix Suns early Thursday morning in blockbuster deal.
After former Nets star teammate Kyrie Irving was recently shipped off to the Dallas Mavericks, per request, Durant it seems made a plea to the Brooklyn front office to get to his desired landing spot: Phoenix.
Durant was dealt in exchange for budding forwards Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, four first round draft picks and even more draft compensation, likely a few pick swaps.
The move seems to signal a new direction for Brooklyn, who has now acquired five first round draft picks in recent days, as well as much younger talent.
Phoenix now consolidates it’s already solid roster in hopes of making a playoff push with the likes of Durant, Devin Booker, Chris Paul and DeAndre Ayton when fully healthy.
Durant, a former regular season MVP with the Oklahoma City Thunder, was having another premier season before going down with a knee injury. He's amid his 16th year in the NBA, averaging 29.7 points on 56 percent shooting.
