Injury Report: Markkanen Out, Gilgeous-Alexander In for Thunder-Jazz Rematch

In this story:
Oklahoma City is once again set to see a crucial game against a team just ahead of them in the Western Conference standings on Friday.
In doing so, the Thunder will get a crucial piece to the puzzle back on the court. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is no longer on the injury report as OKC prepares to take on the Jazz.
Gilgeous-Alexander missed four games due to various reasons, most recently being in NBA Health & Safety Protocols. The 2022-23 All-Star reserve obviously provides a huge boost to the Thunder lineup.
The Jazz on the other hand did not get healthier. They will be without All-Star starter Lauri Markkenen, who has been their best player on the season. He joins Collin Sexton on the injury report.
OKC won big against the Jazz in their last matchup Friday.
Here are the most recent injury reports for both squads entering tonight:
Oklahoma City Thunder:
Chet Holmgren: Out: Right foot surgery
Aleksej Pokusevski: Out: Left Tibial Plateau nondisplaced fracture
Kenrich Williams: Out: Left Wrist Scapholunate Rupture
Utah Jazz:
Collin Sexton: Out: Left Hamstring Strain
Lauri Markkanen: Out: Low Back Soreness
Micah Potter: Out: G League Two-Way
Tip-off for the Jazz and Thunder is slated for 6 p.m. in OKC, the Thunder are currently 6.5-point favorites.
