In this story:
The long-awaited 2023 NBA Draft is finally here, and with it another chance for the Oklahoma City Thunder to add to their growing core.
After trading the No. 37 pick to the Denver Nuggets in a Finals-week trade, OKC enters the night with one lottery pick at No. 12 and one second-round selection at No. 50.
Of course, with an unprecedented cache of future draft selections, the Thunder had the opportunity potentially maneuver their way to any spot, within reason. As such, we did see some movement.
Follow along for live updates on the Thunder’s picks in the 2023 NBA Draft:
No. 10: Cason Wallace (via DAL)
Wallace is a quality two-way guard that should be able to make a near-immediate impact in Oklahoma City. He's known for his defense, but don't underestimate the Kentucky guard's ability to pass and shoot.
No. 50: Keyontae Johnson
A former teammate of Tre Mann at Florida, Johnson had an incredible season at Kansas State before making the jump to the NBA Draft. He has a truly inspiring story and will fit Oklahoma City's culture perfectly. He's a strong combo forward that does a variety of things well on the floor.
