The NBA season is less than a month away with teams set to report for training camp in the coming weeks.

For Oklahoma City, training camp will be an important measuring stick to see who makes the final roster heading into the start of 2023-24. As of Sept. 27, the Thunder have 21 rostered players.

With Keyontae Johnson, Olivier Sarr and Lindy Waters III all on two-way contracts, Sam Presti and company still need to move on from three players in order to cut the team down to a 15-man active roster.

Training camp will be important for players on the fringes of OKC's roster, as they will need to prove their value in preseason workouts to have a shot at sticking on the team.

Of the entire roster, former Denver Nuggets two-way player Jack White and NBA veteran Victor Oladipo seem to be the least likely to have a seat on the bench come opening night.

White has very little NBA experience, and was a reserve on Team Australia's bench in the 2023 FIBA World Cup this summer. While he does provide some of the skills that the Thunder often value in a player, White would have to really impressive the coaching staff during camp to usurp someone who was on the roster last season.

In Oladipo's case, the former Thunder guard doesn't seem to fit with Oklahoma City's timeline, as he is the oldest player on the roster and has dealt with a slew of lower body injuries throughout his career.

While White and Oladipo seem like easy roster decisions to make, the Thunder's final move will likely be much more difficult.

Many fans have speculated that the final personnel move will likely be between Tre Mann and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. Both players impressed during their rookie seasons, but struggled during their second season in the NBA.

Mann averaged 10.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game as a rookie, dropping off to 7.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest as a sophomore.

Robinson-Earl tallied 7.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and one assist per game in 49 games his rookie year, notching 36 starts. In 2022-23, however, Robinson-Earl only mustered 6.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

If Mann or Robinson-Earl are not on the Thunder come October, it is likely that Oklahoma City traded one of the two young players, as opposed to waiving them. While OKC did waive TyTy Washington and Usman Garuba earlier this summer, Mann and Robinson-Earl would have much more value on the trade market.
