Social Media Reacts: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Posts 40 in Comeback Win

In this story:
The Oklahoma City Thunder (53-25) pulled off a 20 point comeback win over the Sacramento Kings (45-33) thanks to a 40-point night from superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who returned from a quad injury after missing six of the Thunder's last seven games.
Sacramento jumped out to an early lead as the Kings rained in triples and worked the glass which carried them throughout the first half. The Thunder laid a massive counterpunch in the third frame before taking their first lead of the contest to start the fourth quarter via an 18-6 run.
The Thunder lead the league in double-digit point comebacks and witnessed five lead changes and seven ties in this tilt before outlasting the Kings fighting for the right to avoid the play-in tournament. This win solidifies the third seed, at worst, for the Thunder ahead of the NBA playoffs.
From the comeback win to Gilgeous-Alexander's 40-point scoring outburst with seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and as many blocks in 37 minutes sent social media into a frenzy just as it did the Paycom Center crowd which was in playoff form.
