With the middle of the NBA season quickly approaching it’s time to look at the MVP race. Most would say that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the runaway favorite, but is he? LeBron James in year 17 has led the Lakers to the NO. 1 seed in the Western Conference all awhile leading the league in assists and true plus-minus. SI’s Robin Lundberg makes his argument on why he believes the race between LeBron and Giannis is closer than people may believe.
