Tim Duncan got his first win as an acting head coach as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Charlotte Hornets 104-103 on Tuesday night. Duncan filled in for head coach Gregg Popovich who missed the game for personal reasons. Duncan was quick to deflect praise to the other Spurs assistant coaches, “Becky [Hammon] and Will [Hardy] were making all the calls, and I was the only one standing there screaming at people.” SI’s Robin Lundberg congratulates Tim Duncan on his victory.
