The Minnesota Timberwolves earned the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft

The Coronavirus Pandemic has stopped a lot of things but It didn’t stop the NBA draft lottery from taking place on Thursday.

NBA deputy commissioner Mark Tatum announced the results from the league's offices in Secaucus, N.J. in front of representatives from each team.

The Minnesota Timberwolves earned the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA draft after winning the league's annual draft lottery. The franchise had the number 1 pick back in 2015 and selected Karl-Anthony Towns out of Kentucky.

The top 5 also include the Golden State Warriors at No. 2, Charlotte Hornets at No. 3, Chicago Bulls at No. 4 and the Cleveland Cavaliers at No. 5.

The 2020 NBA draft will take place on October 16th
