Celtics Player Reveals Untold Story From Steph Curry's Historic Finals Game

Steph Curry carried the Golden State Warriors vs. Boston Celtics

Steph Curry‘s game four in last year‘s NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics is one of the greatest Finals performances in NBA history. With the Warriors in danger of falling down 3-1, Curry put the team on his back in a hostile Boston environment.

Curry was talking trash to the Boston home crowd from the first timeout to the end of the game, and backed up his talk from start to finish. It was truly a legendary performance that headlined what was a historic postseason run for an all-time great.

Recently appearing on The Old Man and the Three Podcast, Celtics big man Al Horford recalled a unique scene after that game four win for Golden State. As Horford recalls it, he could hear the Warriors celebrating in their locker room as if they had just won the NBA Finals.

Both teams understood the significance of that game, and it was the Warriors who had the best player on their side. Lifting his team to victory on the road, Curry evened the series at two wins a piece. Losing that game would have been close to a death blow for the Warriors, which is something Curry would not let happen. As Horford stated, the celebration in the Warriors locker room reflected that significance, as they understood the magnitude of what their star point guard just did.
