Celtics Work Out Former Warriors Player

In this story:
It's officially the time of year where NBA teams bring in unsigned veterans to compete for their final roster spots. One of these veterans looking for an NBA deal is former Golden State Warriors forward Glenn Robinson III, who reportedly just worked out for the Boston Celtics:
The Celtics recently had free agent Glen Robinson III in for a workout as they look to add to their roster, per league sources. Boston will also work out Louis King (per HoopsHype) & TJ Warren & Lamar Stevens (per The Athletic) this week. Boston has at least 2 open roster spots.

Robinson also participated in a workout with the Warriors, who he spent 48 games with in the 2019-20 season. That was a lost season for the Warriors, as Steph Curry and Klay Thompson both missed almost the entire season, which made for some interesting roster additions.
In his 48 games with Golden State, Robinson averaged 12.9 PPG, which was a career high. Since leaving the Warriors, Robinson has spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings. A very athletic forward, Robinson could be an interesting addition for whoever gives him an opportunity.
Most contending teams leave one or two roster spots open entering training camp to give different players an opportunity to compete for those spots. While some teams like carrying younger players with potential, others like bolstering their depth with veterans who understand life at the NBA level.
For the Warriors, they have both two way slots and standard roster spots open right now, as they are also holding workouts with several different players to see if they can find a nice fit for those spots.
