Draymond Green Slams Boston Celtics After Game 7 vs. Heat

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green slammed the Boston Celtics

According to Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, the Boston Celtics losing Game 7 to the Miami Heat in that fashion was just a reminder that they are who everyone thought they were. During a recent episode of his podcast, Green said Boston looked unready for the moment.

"The Boston Celtics are who we thought they were," Green said. "They got to the moment and they did not look like they were ready for the moment. All of a sudden, all the shots were short again. All of a sudden they looked like they couldn’t play basketball with their left hand again. All of a sudden, they looked like exactly who we thought they were."

Having faced these Celtics in last year's NBA Finals, Green clearly believes they lack what it takes to win games like the one they had against Miami at home on Monday. The Warriors forward was adamant that this is who people thought the Celtics were, which according to Green, is a group that isn't ready for the moment.

It was certainly a disappointing finish for Boston after they fought to erase a 3-0 deficit, but it can ultimately be another learning moment for a group that despite their experience together, is still relatively young. While questions face the future of Boston's core, this latest loss is an opportunity for growth.
