Knicks Player Wants Warriors Guard to Join Knicks

New York Knicks G/F Josh Hart wants this Golden State Warriors guard on the Knicks

Golden State Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo has a $4.7M player option this summer that he is expected to decline. While this does not mean DiVincenzo will leave the Warriors, they are limited in what they can offer him, making an opt-in the likeliest path to retaining him. That said, DiVincenzo likely played himself into a larger multi-year deal, and could seek that following an opt-out.

Should DiVincenzo explore free agency, New York Knicks G/F Josh Hart would like to see him on the Knicks. When asked about this by Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks, Hart confirmed that he has talked to DiVincenzo; however, Hart did not say too much about the nature of that conversation. That said, the Knicks guard made it clear that he would like to play with his former Villanova teammate again.

This discussion stemmed from Hart liking a Tweet about DiVincenzo's potential fit on the Knicks, especially due to his shooting, which Rooks brought up when asking him about the Warriors guard. It will be an interesting summer for DiVincenzo as he navigates through his desire to remain with Golden State, while also making a decision that's best for his career.

If DiVincenzo opts out and explores free agency, it sounds like the Knicks would be a potential landing spot based upon these comments from Josh Hart.
