NBA Analyst Floats Giannis Antetokounmpo to Warriors

Could the Golden State Warriors trade for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo?

With Giannis Antetokounmpo recently making some comments about not signing an extension with the Milwaukee Bucks unless everyone is on the same page, some have already begun looking at possible scenarios where the superstar forward leaves his current team. During a recent segment of First Things First, NBA analyst Chris Broussard floated the idea of Antetokounmpo joining the Golden State Warriors.

"He and Steph, is that even possible? But there this no place I'd rather see Giannis playing than with Steph Curry, because I think it would be so awesome to see those two together," Broussard said. "So as a fan, I was excited about [Antetokounmpo's] comments. But I will say this, I don't think Giannis should sign an extension with the Bucks. Even if they win another championship, keep your options open... Even if they win another title, don’t sign an extension. No one will kill you for leaving there with just one title. You got Milwaukee its first title since Kareem. They certainly can’t crush you if you leave with two."

While Broussard wants to see Antetokounmpo play with Curry, he said the Bucks star should just keep his options open in general, especially with how other teams across the league are attempting to stack their rosters with star power. It's very unlikely there's any path to the Warriors acquiring Antetokounmpo, but it would certainly be fun.
