Scott Foster Breaks Silence on Ejecting Chris Paul

Scott Foster revealed why he ejected Chris Paul.

The most heated rivalry in the NBA today isn't between players, it's between a player and a referee - Chris Paul and Scott Foster.

Shortly before halftime of the Warriors vs Suns, Scott Foster ejected Chris Paul in a moment that's already become infamously viral. There's been hostility between the two for years, and last night just added another page in the chapter.

After the game, Scott Foster was interviewed for The Pool Report, where he gave his reasoning for ejecting Chris Paul. The interview was conducted by Kellan Olson of Arizona Sports.

"QUESTION: What was Chris Paul upset about that led to the initial discussion?
FOSTER: The foul called against him at 23.5.

QUESTION: Why was Chris Paul assessed the first technical foul?
FOSTER: For unsportsmanlike conduct.

QUESTION: How did Chris Paul escalate the situation to be given a second technical foul, leading to his ejection from the game?
FOSTER: He continued to complain and received a second unsportsmanlike technical foul.

In all honesty, it's very baffling that the NBA still allows Scott Foster to officiate Chris Paul's games. It's become very clear that there's a personal history between the two, and Chris seems to get ejected in a huge portion of the games that Foster officiates. If the purpose of an NBA Official is to be nonbiased, then having Foster officiate Paul's games defeats the purpose.
