WATCH: Controversial Missed Call During Warriors vs Nuggets

In this story:
The Golden State Warriors lost to the Denver Nuggets by three points in an incredibly exciting game that went down to the final buzzer. As fun as the game was, there was one particular moment that Steph Curry didn't enjoy.
During the fourth quarter, while the Warriors were down two points, Curry threw up a layup that looked like it was goaltended by Aaron Gordon. No goaltend was called, and the Golden State Warriors ultimately lost by three points. Here's a slow-motion video of the moment.
Here’s the no call Steph was incensed by. What do we think? It looks to me like it did hit the backboard before Gordon touches it, which means the basket should’ve counted pic.twitter.com/WI8jRxvWys

From another angle, the missed call becomes even more egregious. The ball clearly hits the backboard before Aaron Gordon blocks it, and it's very clearly a goaltend.

Unfortunately for the Golden State Warriors, they were on the receiving end of a very pivotal missed call. They still had a chance to tie the game down late when Steph Curry missed a layup, and another chance to tie the game when Klay Thompson missed a three at the buzzer.
After tonight's loss, the Denver Nuggets have now won four straight games against the Golden State Warriors. Not only that, but they've beaten the Warriors in seven out of the last eight games. Fortunately for the Warriors, the Dallas Mavericks also lost tonight, so very little footing has been lost at the top of the Western Conference.
Up next for the Golden State Warriors is the Cleveland Cavaliers on November 11.
