WATCH: Klay Thompson Goes Viral in China
Currently in China to promote his new shoe, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson is enjoying some time out of the United States before rejoining his teammates in preparation for another NBA season. Thompson has been a legend in China for several years, often making summer trips to see his fans over there, and this latest trip is already looking exciting.
In a video posted by the Warriors on Sunday, Thompson was seen throwing down an alley-oop dunk for his fans in China:
This is one of several videos that has been shared of Thompson's China trip, with another including his teammate Kevon Looney, as the two Warriors players had some fun with an enthusiastic crowd:
Looney and Thompson received a warm welcome from the fans in China, as basketball fans over there are always excited when NBA stars come visit. As previously mentioned, this has become a regular summer trip for Thompson, who went viral several years ago with "China Klay" becoming a well-known sensation.
While Thompson has always been Steph Curry's co-star, he is very much a star on his own, and has a very large fanbase. A huge part of the growth that the Warriors organization has experienced during this dynasty, Thompson has been right in the middle of everything Golden State has built. Enjoying some of his offseason in China, Thompson has been showing love to his fans there.
