Draymond Green and Charles Barkley Have Viral Argument About Warriors

In this story:

Every dynasty ends at some point, and NBA legend Charles Barkley believes the Golden State Warriors have reached that point. Having won four titles in the last eight seasons, including last year's title, the Warriors have been one of the most dominant dynasties in league history. It has been a rough year for the defending champions so far, and one Barkley believes they cannot come back from.

On the All-Star Game broadcast with Warriors forward Draymond Green, Barkley said the Warriors are cooked. Green fired back, telling Barkley he said that last year before Golden State won the title, but Barkley doubled down and said they are indeed cooked. Green threw a hilarious jab at Barkley, saying that even if the Warriors are cooked, it still leaves their core with four more championships than he ever got.

It will be interesting to see how this conversation ages, because while history would indicate that the Warriors are too far down the standings to make a serious run, this is a core that has won four of the last eight titles. If any team can turn things around after the All-Star break, it is these Warriors.

While they had a great start last season to help sustain some of the ups and downs of an NBA schedule, they faced some of these same questions before ultimately winning another title. The hope of this group is that they can replicate that with another special run.
