Dwight Howard to Warriors Receives Major Update

In this story:
It was reported on Wednesday evening by Jason Dumas of KRON4 News that free agent center Dwight Howard has met with the Golden State Warriors and will soon workout with Chris Paul and Draymond Green. The report was seemingly confirmed by Green himself, who complained about everything leaking while essentially confirming the news:
One day, one day, everything won’t leak. One day. Good for you btw Jason. But one day, EVERYTHING won’t leak. I have a dream https://t.co/X3HJmGei0T

If things stay on this trajectory, it seems Howard could be joining the Warriors sooner rather than later. The team has been in need of reinforcements to their front court, and Howard could be the perfect veteran center to provide spot minutes as well as championship experience.
While Howard is of course not the player he once was, the veteran big man can still serve as a rim protector on defense and a lob threat on offense. Next to Steph Curry and Chris Paul, Howard should have the opportunity to finish a lot of easy looks. Golden State will not need much from Howard, but if he can provide injury or foul trouble insurance for Draymond Green and Kevon Looney, he will be a very productive signing.
Having spent some time in Taiwan, Howard has been staying in basketball shape while away from the NBA. As previously mentioned, the Warriors will not need much from him, but the veteran center projects to be exactly what they need in the role they would be signing him to fill.
