Luka Doncic Reacts to Kevin Durant to Phoenix Suns Trade

In this story:
The Phoenix Suns immediately ascended themselves up the list of championship favorites when they made a trade to acquire Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. Already considered contenders with Devin Booker and Chris Paul, Phoenix solidified themselves as the favorites in the Western Conference by acquiring one of the best players in the world.
When asked about the trade, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic agreed that Phoenix is now the favorites in the Western Conference:
Luka has the Suns as the favorites out West right now 👀

Doncic's team also acquired a star from the Brooklyn Nets ahead of the trade deadline, landing Kyrie Irving in a deal that sent Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith to Brooklyn. The move has already looked solid for Dallas, as Irving was able to lead the Mavericks to a win over the LA Clippers in his Mavericks debut without Luka Doncic.
After the trade deadline, Western Conference teams like the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, and Dallas Mavericks all feel better about where they were prior to the deadline; however, it is hard to argue with Luka's assertion that the Suns are currently above the rest.
As has been shown in previous years, championships are not won on paper, and the Suns will still have to prove themselves on the court before anything is awarded to them. The team looks scary as currently constructed, but there is still a lot of basketball to be played between now and when a champion is crowned this June.
