The Golden State Warriors shared an announcement on the tragic passing of assistant coach Dejan Milojevic on Wednesday afternoon, stating the following in an official release:
"Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic (DAY-ahn mi-lo-yo-vihch) was hospitalized last night in Salt Lake City, Utah, after suffering a heart attack at a private team dinner. Despite life-saving efforts, Milojevié, 46, passed away late Wednesday morning."
The Warriors also shared a statement from their official X/Twitter account that read, "We are absolutely devastated by Dejan Milojevic's sudden passing. This is a shocking and tragic blow for everyone associated with the Warriors and an incredibly difficult time for his family, friends, and all of us who had the incredible pleasure to work with him. We grieve with and for his wife, Natasa, and their children, Nikola and Masa."

The NBA world has been sharing their condolences to Milojevic's loved ones and the Warriors organization, including Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic who shared this post:

The NBA announced earlier on Wednesday morning that Golden State's game vs. the Utah Jazz had been postponed, stating, "The National Basketball Association game scheduled for tonight between the Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz has been postponed due to a medical emergency in the Warriors family. The date for the rescheduled game will be announced at a later time."
This is a heartbreaking day for the NBA, the Warriors organization, and everyone who knew and loved Milojevic.
