Steve Kerr Makes Hilarious Austin Reaves Comment

In this story:
Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves turned in a solid showing for Team USA in their FIBA World Cup win over New Zealand on Saturday morning. Finishing with 12 PTS, 6 AST, and 3 STL, Reaves helped lead USA to a 99-72 victory. Joining Steve Kerr at the podium following this win, Reaves received high praise from the Golden State Warriors and Team USA head coach.
When asked if there's any concern about the youth on his roster, Kerr said, "No, not at all. I love watching these guys grow, but it's not like they're untested. This guy [Austin Reaves] kicked our butts in the playoffs a few months ago. [Reaves] may be young, Paolo [Banchero] may be young, we go down the list we've got some young guys, but we've got guys who can play and who have proven it in the NBA, in the NBA Playoffs."

Having lost to Reaves and the Lakers in last year's Western Conference Semi-Finals, Kerr got a good laugh out of his young guard with this comment. Not worried about the overall youth on this Team USA roster, Kerr knows his players are experienced despite their young age.
"They're fearless," Kerr added. "I love watching them play and it's been an absolute joy to coach them just because of their eagerness to play together and to be selfless and to compete. So it's really been a lot of fun to coach them and I have great confidence in them."
