As the Golden State Warriors decide who to give their remaining roster spots to, it seems clear that a veteran big man will be one of the final pieces added before the 2023-24 NBA season begins. While Dwight Howard is expected to meet with Golden State, there are other veteran center options that the team is reportedly considering.

In a recent report, Shams Charania of The Athletic revealed that veteran center Dewayne Dedmon is one of the players being considered by the Warriors. While Dedmon has been a journeyman throughout his time in the league, he actually began his career with the Warriors as an undrafted free agent in 2013.

Dedmon did not spend much time with the Warriors, but he did play 15 games for their G-League affiliate in 2013, which helped lead to a new opportunity with the Philadelphia 76ers. From there, Demon bounced around quite a bit, spending time with the Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and Atlanta Hawks.

Getting his start in the NBA with the Warriors, Dedmon will look to grab one of their final roster spots. At 34 years old, Dedmon would not play a large role on the Warriors, but he would serve as an insurance big behind Kevon Looney and Draymond Green if he were selected over players like Howard for that role.
