Tournament Play Returns As Wizards Host Knicks

In this story:
Tonight, the Washington Wizards will resume In Season Tournament play against a team that is one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference, the New York Knicks. Both teams are looking for their first In Season Tournament victory for the season. While the Wizards will be playing on their very own home court, that still doesn’t quite give them the advantage that they need. The Knicks have shown they can win on the road this season. Slowing down Jalen Brunson will prove to be a different task as well. It all starts tonight in Washington at 7PM ET.

The Bottom Line
It seems like the Wizards schedule continues to get tougher the deeper we get into the NBA regular season. Tonight’s matchup will pose as a difficult matchup once again as they hope to slow down Jalen Brunson. Not having Delon Wright is a tough problem to have. They could certainly use his defensive efforts tonight. Jalen Brunson will probably get whatever he wants tonight and that’s okay. The goal is to have Tyus Jones do the best he can against him. What the Wizards want is to have Julius Randle taking shots he shouldn’t be taking. He tends to shoot the Knicks out of games at times. The goal should be to avoid having him get to the free throw line. If the Wizards can do that and weather the storm of the Knicks bench, they should have a fighting chance in this matchup.
