Washington Wizards blow 23 Point Lead, Lose To Toronto Raptors

Wizards blow another lead, drop to 2-8 after 111-107 loss to the Raptors.

The Washington Wizards had another fourth quarter lead evaporate, this time to the Toronto Raptors as they fall 111-107.

One point, that is how many the Wizards scored in the last 7:25 of the game.

That point was a free throw by Washington forward Kyle Kuzma with 5:47 left in the game.

Kuzma lead the team in scoring with 34 points and made four three-pointers.

For the next five and a half minutes Wizards fans would be left stunned again as the Raptors and forward Pascal Siakam would storm back from 12 down and take the lead with eight seconds to go.

Siakam punished Washington all night and ended with a team high 39 points.

Toronto was dominant in the paint, ending in a 76-48 points in the paint differential.

In the fourth quarter Washington was torched in that department by the Raptors giving up 22 points in the paint compared to the just eight points scored by them down low.

The question is, why on earth was Wizards center Daniel Gafford out of the game the whole fourth quarter?

Gafford is by far the teams best post defender, shot blocker, and rebounder.

No one from Washington could stop Siakam but it wasn't a good look to not have your big man in the game down the stretch.

The Wizards head back home now after the two-game road trip to welcome a star-studded Dallas Mavericks team that is finding their stride.
