Five Time NBA All Star and Former Number One Draft Pick John Wall remains a free agent.

Read that again.

Once upon a time, the thought that John Wall would not be on a NBA team was unheard of. Currently, it is a reality. Since John Wall was traded from the Washington Wizards to the Houston Rockets, it seems both Wall and the Wizards haven’t found a consistent home for the starting point guard position.

When the Houston Rockets traded John Wall to the Los Angeles Clippers, it appeared that Wall had finally found a solid spot on a team that needed his level of expertise. That story came to an end when the Clippers surprisingly traded Wall back to the Houston Rockets who would eventually buy Wall out. Wall has been a free agent ever since.

He's also played in 37 NBA Playoff games, and at the peak of his career, the Washington Wizards were a borderline contender (they made the second round twice).

In December 2022, the long-awaited return of John Wall happened at Capital One Arena when the Clippers came to town to take on the Wizards for Saturday Night In The District. Wall admitted his emotions were all over the place returning to the building with fans present, giving him a chance to look at the seat where his mom sat, and fully embrace the moment.

Inside the Wizards Staff Writer Carita Parks captured the moment that John Wall shared with the media that that he is not saying goodbye to DC.

Could it be possible that the incoming Wizards President and General Manager sees value in bringing Wall back to the District given he is now available or has that ship officially sailed?

It will be interesting to see where John Wall ultimately lands. He’s still young and has much value to add for any NBA team.
