Huddle Up: More on Giants fake-injury fiasco
An abbreviated look at what’s going on around the NFL on Thursday, Sept. 22:
• Rams linebacker Bryan Kehl, who played with the Giants for defensive coordinator Perry Fewell for two years, said that Fewell teaches his players to fake injuries.
• Add Aaron Rodgers to the list of people impressed with Tony Romo's performance after being injured last Sunday. "I was surprised he could play so effectively under that much pain," Rodgers said.
• The NFL informed the Saints that Roman Harpershould not have been flagged for roughing the passer on his first-quarter takedown of Jay Cutler last Sunday.
• Fred Jackson's long Week 2 touchdown run sparked the Bills' comeback win over Oakland and offered further evidence why Buffalo kept Jackson in the No. 1 back role over C.J. Spiller.
• It used to be that Steelers WR Mike Wallace simply ran long and waited for Ben Roethlisberger to find it. That's no longer the case, with Wallace quickly developing into one of the league's better all-around receivers.
• So far, so good for Broncos rookie Von Miller. Denver couldn't be happier with what the first-round draft pick has brought to the table thus far.
• The Jets didn't need any production from their receivers to blow out the Jaguars in Week 2. But Santonio Holmes, Derrick Mason and Plaxico Burress could be in line for huge numbers against Oakland this Sunday.
