Sandy Hook victims honored by NFL in Week 15

Every team across the NFL Sunday held [si_launchNFLPopup video='950b04714eb942389cfaad9d3370390e']a moment of silence prior to their game[/si_launchNFLPopup], in honor of the victims of Friday's violence at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. The Patriots will close Sunday by firing 26 flares into the night sky, one for each person that lost his or her life in the senseless tragedy.
New England will also sport a helmet decal with the Newtown's town seal and a black ribbon.

Many teams have their own tributes planned as well, most in the form of the school's initials (SHES) written somewhere on their players' helmets or equipment. Stadium flags will fly at half-mast, too:
