The San Francisco 49ers drafted LSU defensive back Eric Reid with the 18th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, moving up 13 spots in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys to grab him.
The 49ers and Cowboys swapped first-round picks, and the 49ers added a third-round pick (No. 74) to the deal.
Reid was the second safety taken in the first round. He went three picks after the New Orleans Saints selected Texas' Kenny Vaccaro. Reid had 91 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions in his final season with the Tigers.
The #49ers have traded picks 31 (1st round) and 74 (3rd round) for Dallas' pick at 18. They select LSU safety Eric Reid. #draft49
